Sunday Circle is a bi-weekly respite program on Sunday mornings where special needs children/teens, and loving teenage volunteers come together for a fun, educational group experience. The Sunday Circle includes music, sports, art, performing arts, facilitated play, and circle time with a Judaic theme. Nutritious snacks are provided as well.
Children are placed in a group according to his/her interests and age. Each child is carefully matched with a teen volunteer who encourages them to participate in the different activities and remains with them throughout the program. The activities are run by qualified professionals and overseen by our on staff Behavioral Therapist who is always available to assist in difficult situations.
Parents have the option to drop off their child/teen for the two hour period, or stay to socialize with other parents in a separate lounge with treats and coffee for their enjoyment.
