We have launched a new curriculum for our students who are in this level of Aleph Champ, called iDaven. The goal of this curriculum is for the students to take all the skills they have learned in the previous Aleph Champ levels, and apply them to reading, singing, and understanding one of the most precious books they will ever own - the Siddur.

There are 4 parts to passing this Level:

  1. Reading the Tefillot (prayers) in Hebrew correctly and fluently
  2. Understanding the basics of what each Tefillah (prayer) means and its directions
  3. Knowing all the Tefillot in a tune\trope\chant
  4. Knowing how to “index” the Siddur-finding these Tefillot in the Siddur, so that when your child opens a Siddur they can quickly find the prayer they need.

Click Here to access the full prayers in Hebrew. Please encourage your child to spend at least 15 minutes weekly to read, review and master these prayers. Knowing and understanding the prayers and being comfortable with the Siddur (prayerbook), is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our students.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 201-848-0449 or email mimi@chabadplace.org.
