Chabad Hebrew Schools are transforming the way children learn to read Hebrew with the dynamic and highly motivating Aleph Champion Program - a groundbreaking system that brings the energy and excitement of a martial arts dojo into the classroom.
Inspired by the color-coded belt system of karate, Aleph Champ has 10 colored levels. Students begin their journey as “White Aleph Champs” and climb the rainbow of colors toward “Black Aleph Champ” to become Dojo Masters!
As students master each stage of Hebrew reading, they advance to the next level and receive a colored medallion, creating a tangible and thrilling sense of progress. Each achievement is a victory, and every new medallion is worn with pride.
Professional materials and accessible milestones make the program a success across the board. Monthly Aleph Champ Award Ceremonies add to the excitement, giving students the recognition they’ve earned and fueling their drive to keep going.

To maintain Hebrew reading proficiency over the long summer break, regular practice is essential. We recommend just 30 minutes per week - a small investment that will help ensure your child retains their Aleph Champ level and is fully prepared to advance further when we retest at the start of the new year.
